Early Lease Termination Fees A Costly Problem
Terminating a residential apartment lease can be a costly endeavor for tenants, especially if the management company fails to adequately disclose the additional costs in the initial leasing arrangement.
Most residential leases have written clauses that outline the process to terminate a lease before the end of the lease term. Some leasing arrangements provide exceptions to lease terminations, such as job relocation or for military reasons. Other arrangements, however, may offer no cancellation provisions.
